Kingston Gets New Thursday Night Hot Spot

(Kingston, Jamaica) - Party-goers are about to get yet another weekly treat with the formation of the hip, new party - Allstars Thursdays. The weekly party series which kicks off tonight at the Village Blues Bar, Barbican Road, is the brainchild of sound system selectors, the Kingston Allstars.
 
The sound system which has risen to prominence in the corporate area has played at a number of premier events and clubs, namely, Magnum Stone Love Anniversary, Twisted Spiritz, Absinthe, Rum Punch, Linstead Carnival, Igloo, the Quad Night Club, (the now defunct) Pure/Plush Lounge and more. Member of the group, Richard Pusey says Allstar Thursdays is yet another great event featuring great musical selections and some of the top selectors in the industry.
 
"We thought it was a great idea to introduce a party where people could come and unwind and have fun after work or classes. It's gonna have a great party vibe, in a great venue, excellent musical selections, excellent drink prices and your friends will be there. As of tonight, Thursday nights shouldn't be spent at home being bored, or have people wishing the weekend could hurry and get here. It's a great way to start the weekend early and have inexpensive fun," he said.
 
Allstar Thursdays which is presented by Aim Events in association with Kingston Allstars, as promised, will kick things into high gear tonight with music from resident sound Kingston Allstars and special guest, ZJ Ice, who is known for his riddim productions, affiliation with the long-standing Coppershot sound system and his highly energetic sets on Zip103 FM on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Still, that's not all. The event will feature mix drink specials and men will pay $300 to enter, while women will be able to gain free entry before 11 p.m. and pay $300 after.
